    Is it still cheap & efficient if you have to replace it every 3 years & factor in the lay up time though Catman ?

    There is a boat down this way, built in Scotland in 2004 that is already on her 4th Daewoo !
    depends how much they cost
    4 engines in 7 years is pretty steep, presumably some of them been replaced on warranty?
    you would think with a record like that, that no-one would buy them, but they still do.
    are there any decent engine builders left?
    the 50 year old lister on my lobster boat is coming up for its first overhaul, you couldna possibly buy an engine like that nowadays, but its noisy, heavy and huge, so no-one would want to even if they could...
    the old boy gary,s got a lo34 dawoo ,, naturally aspirated ,, nuthin fancy, nay bother wi it its 12year old , brilliant on fuel , starts on the button , neva misses a beat  ;)  dawoo, doosan  ;)

    what hours is on that engine now westword ?.when we fitted her to the boy gary we put in a dry exhaust but it was hell of a noisy.
    but she did the job we used to haul oot in the middle of the pentland firth in 50 fthm o water and she widna miss a beat.
    canny tell yi the hours ross sorry, but it,s as you say, never lets yi down  ;)
