SEAHAM HARBOUR

SEAHAM HARBOUR

SEAHAM HARBOURS NORTH DOCK, PUMPED DRY AS WORK CONTINUES ON TURNING IT INTO A MARINA.

I can't understand why they didn't move the marina entrance to the next set of piers east,,,,,,,,,,it would have given them a lot more usable water/quayside for not much (if any) more money
right enough marra, it would have given them at least 30 extra moorings, & a better entrance,BUT then that would be common sense, summat planners & suits dinna seem to posess..............
A lot of coal dust in that dock bottom !!!!!!!!!
    Hi Paul

Is it because the developers can put the Lock back into operation to make it a 'floating marina'?

    Regards

    Steve E.
might well be a 'floating' marina, but if you're locked in and the tides oot your still buggered.  would have made heaps more sense to lock  the next piers out.  would give a greater tidal range if nowt else
I suppose that at the end of the day its all about the cost involved versus the profits potential
