HANDA ISLE LOOKING VERY SMART AFTER NEW PAINT JOB
If I am correct and memory is right, Handa Isle was fitted out as a creeler in Tarbert by Archie MacCallum mid to late 80's for owners in NW Scotland, might have been Ullapool or that area, she was black or very dark blue when new.
Aye john, she worked out of Kinlochbervie for a good while.
aye john she was black-the boys here only painted her red the year.
was it no richards boat yard in stromness that fitted her out........
dont know if she was fitted out in stromness when new but she was fitted with the whaleback at stromness a few year after she was new.
Would say the wheelhouse was also replaced or heightened when whaleback was fitted Ross, but def fitted out in Tarbert when new northisles, Ian MacDonald the engineer at the time down here went aboard to line up the engine and dunted his heid on the pipe work called Big Archie "a feckin engineering vandal"!
Was she not named after an island up in that vicinity?
