WILDORA, UNDERGOING RESTORATION ON SUNDERLAND SOUTH DOCK. SHE WAS PART OF THE FLOATILLA OF BOATS THAT RESCUED MEN FROM DUNKIRK DURING WW11.

    Hi Paul

Interesting history - cannot find much information on the Net - former Fifie by the sounds of it. Looks like some further work required to get her back in the water  :crazy2:

    Regards

    Steve E.
aye steve, she looks a bit rough now, but i think her hull is sound, she's been in sunderland for years, lay sunk in the dock then was refloated and used as a pleasure boat for a while, now in the hands of the sunderland maritime heritage trust, she is poss the last ov the dunkirk vets left ............. :crazy2: O0 O0
    Hi Paul

she had the hull completly rebuilt with a lot of new planks,  by a training scheme on the river tyne next to the ouseburn.
I had a run on the river in her she went well , was used to take people on river trips during the gateshead garden festivel when they had a sailpast.  this must have been about 25 to 30 years ago.
