bought to replace the quiet waters which cecil and james (my wife's grandfather) sold to my father, this pic must have just been not long after they got her if its taken in 1963 as my father was still working down the pit when i was born in 1962, i've a pic on here of my older brother david and my late cousin duggie taken about the same time with the two family boats quiet waters and evening star in the background, james was a helluva man having spent a good period during the war in hospital in plaster from neck down after breaking his back yet he returned to the sea to work what were the hardest most physical jobs at the ring and seine net, he lived till he was into his 90's and rang the bells in the highland parish church on a sunday morning well into his late 80's, his wife maisie is still going strong, you were always on your best behaviour in his company and took great pleasure out of me naming my own boat QW to keep the link between our two families going.
Was this the Nimrod LH 25 from Port Seton
