CT and Jamie Mc Kinven owned a half each.He thinks it was the same year that Neil Colville and Danny Hay bought the LITTLE FLOWER.They went to colonsay and discovered a huge bed of clams.Every boat that could, went to the clams.CT got word of a winch for sale in kinlochleven and travelled up to buy it.After paying for the winch he discovered that there was no transport out of kinlochleven, but the problem was solved when a puffer sailed into the harbour.Another deal was done and the winch was delivered to crinan the following week. They went to seineing for a few days while waiting for the winch and at that time they had started laying a cable from the kyles to New-Zealand.CT went alongside the laying barge and got all the anchor positions and directions that they had been laid.they had 5 or 6 rings with the ropes coming the right way over the anchor flukes and ended up with 40 boxes of hake. They did much the same for the rest of the week and needless to say the winch was never fitted. It ended up on Dennis Meenan,s STELLA MARIS.
