Several hulls sitting at Bowling Harbour 13/10/09 I'll leave the guys in the know to name them, that should be a challenge
wee got my boat from here glad she wasnt in that state
they ahd a clear out a few years back, the place used to be an absolute graveyard for old boats
Behind the steel hull you can just see a couple of frame heads sticking up which belong to the hulk beyond. Thats all that remains of the Norwegian built Sjoliv. She was used by some divers mid to late 70's as a platform for salvaging scrap and could be seen/heard bonking around the firth of Lorne. She ended up in Crinan basin with a belly full of scrap, abondoned and leaking like a sieve. British waterways then beached her at Linnet house Dunardry where she lay for years. From there she somehow made her way to death central where she is only recognisable if you get in among her bones and see the little Norwegian construction clues which give away her heritage.
boat with w/house could be Ambassador ro44, it ended up there

yir right some braw oak frames for making smokies as well

To the right of them lies a boat I used to own,an ex naval pinnace she sank in the harbour and was beached there and one of those abandoned boats sat down on top of it sad end to my ex little boat.
