Was there not a fellow called Jimmy Noble building boats, it might have been him that showed Alex Noble how to build boats.
If I remember right, his experience was drawn from a number of sources and not all family related and not all East Coast.
Dunard you are wright there even MACKINTOSH Kilkeel . I had a boat built in kilkeel that he had a hand in the building.

Noble Broch built a handy ringer lay well to a net carried well trimmed well great sea boats , first class for drifting as well we used to go to the drifts as well with the one John McC bought 45 net's no problem. Jimmy Noble built a hell of a lot of boats Drifters ringers yawls seine net, he built them all. Alex Noble Girvan built good boat as well, he told me he was at the building of the Eventide in Kilkeel 1943 MacKintosh was the name of the builder, Noble Girvan built a boat called the SUMMER MORN for Portavogie about 58ft what a bonny boat that was, Wilson Noble built a good few boats as well. Swivel. John did he tell you he's getting a new ringer soon, you Archie & willie D will have to get a look at her she's been on trials. Chris the lad that has the Shemron he say's he'll take her up.
