RIBHINN DONN I

RIBHINN DONN I

Back at it after a break
Have mugged up a Miller Fifer style ringnet winch though have yet to make/buy the winch barrels
The brailer pole is sitting in place to create an illusion of semi-completeness.
Have yet to make masts, derrick and brailer fittings, load of wheelhouse detail, shaft and prop, etc, etc

    Coming on well Jay  :crazy2:

What a fabulous quality model.....seen many models but nothing like this! Mind you I did make the Evelyn out of match sticks from the gutters of Tarbert in 1958......what a beauty even down to the wood shaving for the stern!!!
    Superb model well done
excellent model and very detailed :crazy2:

    Thanks guys!
Brian, Evelyn was a favourite of mine ... Willie Dickson clearly loved that boat, even if she was starting to show her age a bit by the late 70s. He sold her to Ireland, didn't he?  That was not long after the Ann Marie was sold to Ireland too ... as a decomissioned sale, (one could do that then); though I once heard that she was put back to fishing ... salmon drift netting or some such fancy tale. I wonder where they ended up
