Grimsby celebrates launch of new trawler

A WAVE of excitement spread over Grimsby Fish Docks as the first new trawler for 12 years was launched.
Hundreds of business people and those affiliated with the fishing industry gathered at Grimsby Fish Market to celebrate the official launch of the Jubilee Quest on Saturday.
As reported, the boat is the result of an estimated £1-million investment and will create six fishing jobs and up to 15 on shore jobs.
Owner of the Jubilee Fishing Company, Andrew Allard said: "This is a real boost to the catching side of the industry, which has been in decline for around 20 to 30 years.
"It is a great day for Grimsby and a bit of good news for a change."
