Fisherman and Child sculpture at Mallaig Harbour by Mark Rogers. Photographed 26th August 2009.
Looks like you are on the Armadale Ferry Steve ,should of gave me a shout
Hi Will
No, I was on the opposite side of the Harbour - only Ferry I was planning to get on was the Nigg to Cromarty and having waited half an hour was tipped the wink that it had been withdrawn owing to technical problems. Shame the operator hadn't thought to put some signs up

you must have a telescopic lens on your camera to take such a good photo from the other side of the harbour was this taken from east bay car park
Hi Hendo
Yes that's right - East Bay with a 300mm lens
Pity that members of the public cannot get up close to the sculpture on the harbour side.

You should have come to Mallaig on a Friday Hightower when the boats that go to sea come in.I would have had a word wi the ferry boys for you and they would have let you down the ferry pier. You have to admit being tall, orange and English you do look a bit of a shifty character.
Hi Bob
SHIFTY?- coming from you, bit like the kettle calling the pan black
Aye, the old, 'could have would have' argument, but I had my route planned to have a few drinks with the locals in Macduff, now that was an experience, being a Geordie I had quite a few pints bought for me!!!!
