Elinda, built by Nobles of Fraserburgh as the OB registered Primrose in 1946, steaming out of Oban yesterday.
think she left port seton in the early eighties was replaced by the sharlyn then renamed the spes maris
the elinda was owned by a mallaig man possibly early sixties they fished for lobsters with this boat
I think she came to Port Seton around 66-67 or there about if memory serves.
your memory serves you well this was my uncles boat and sadly he was drowned in mallaig harbour the elinda was sold after this unfortunate accident
Built for Charlie and Jock Duncan Mallaig PRIMROSE 1946 neighboured the VIRGIN Calum MacKinnon. PRIMROSE ran ashore jan1960 running in to Northbay. Henderson's got her of the insurance new keel ect renamed ELINDA.
