BIG PHILL RECONS ITS THE WORST SALMON SEASON EVER   AGAIN    :D
Theres three boats DRIFT NETTIN out ov sunderland, they hav'nt had a days work between them in the last fortnight, just F**K ALL THERE.                :D :D ;D
Always remember as a lad (perhaps 40 years ago) watching the fishermen hauling the red fish out of the sea from the beach at Spittal (Berwick) - row out with the net then drag it in by hand. Used to be full bags in those days - sound like an old man don't I, but there again I am  :D

    Regards

    An Old Timer
Them days are well and truly gone steve, whether it's the T. nets, or Drift nets, the job has got steadily worse over the last few seasons, price ov the licence goes up, the time allowed to fish gets less, and the seals just think its f**king party time..................... :D :D ;D
I'll second that. I made a fair bit of money as a young'un sitting at the T net, we always had fish, same with the salmon driving.  :D
