    as a young boy it always amazed me how alexander managed to get down the foc'sal hatch? i'll admit to getting a clip roon the ear for staring, he reminded me of the man on indigo pipkin, a childrens program that used to be on at lunchtime when i was in primary school.

    Him and Smokie his brother had a full breakfast when the went aboard in the morning then another full breakfast after they shot, big lunch and you would get them wiring into a fish supper after landing and going home for dinner, plenty tea an biccies in between, aye liked their grub.
    When Big Iannie, Alexander's son came aboard with us he would order 3lb of everything, 3lb of stewing steak, 3lb of sausages 3lb steak pies, and 3lb potatoes for every meal, wiith only the 3 of us aboard had to put a stop to it or we would  have ended up like GABLE-ENDS ye ken ould buoy.
