Dont think you'd eat these guy's Steve, deep water skate are full of water and no meat i'm affraid, hence why they go back where they came from.

The 'old hands' on the Princess Anne (H269) certainly used to cut the wings off as if they were some sort of 'prized possession' back in the day - that was Deep Sea, Barents Sea and Greenland Sea. Used to be the rule that you got your 'carry off', does that still happen these days?
