Princess Danae (IMO 5282483) seen here outbound from the Port of Tyne (North East England) on 5th June 2007 - headed for Harwich.

Coatham Cross was the Tug giving assistance.

Built originally in 1955 as the Cargo Liner Port Melbourne. She was sold by Port Line Port during 1972 and renamed Therissos Express. She was converted to a Cruise Ship in 1976 and renamed Danae.
Costa took her on charter in 1979, and bought her in 1985.
Badly damaged by fire at Venice in 1991, reappearing as Starlight Princess then Baltica before being sold to Arcalia Shiping (who also own Funchal) and renamed Princess Danae in 1996.
