hi steve i think they have a few of these working out in saudi . i know a guy that done some work for these last year and he says they are really well fitted out ships.
    Hi Terry

As can be seen on the side of the ship, she was at one stage owned by MENAS - Middle East Navigation Aids Service - see details of Relume of their web site @
    http://www.menas.org/ship_overview.htm

According to Lloyds she is no longer owned by MENAS and I suspect that she may well be laid up at Leith Docks. She is certainly in a remote part of the Docks. Also AIS is showing her as having a departure date of 31/12/2009 - so that's a bit of a give away.

    Regards

    Steve E.
you would think there would be a lot of work for a vessel of her class . she could get plenty work if they stuck an rov on her.
    Hi Terry

Well you will know about the large numbers of ships of all sorts, types and nationalities that are laid up around the World - may well be worse for specialists like this one  O0

    Regards

    Steve E.
at the moment anything with a dp system is making a good day rate . i have been on some shite the last few years that are between 25 and 30 years old but they just stick an rov and a half decent crane  on them and away they go.
Well Terry, there are wiser men than us, i.e. the one's who will still be paying back interest on the $28,522,000 it took to build this Ship, who think it cheaper and more viable to have her lying in a Dock in Scotland than earning a crust  O0

    Regards

    Steve E.
thats true steve somebody somewhere must think its cheaper to leave it in leith.
it would make a nice houseboat. i wonder how many asylum sekkers you could get in there. i suppose it would depend on how high you stacked them
    Hi Terry

Evidently she has been in Leith since 31st December 2008.

    Regards

    Steve E.
she's looking good so they must still have a crew on her
