FPT Marine Engines - seen here at the Buckie Shipyard Ltd stand - Fishing 2009 - Glasgow on 14th May 2009.
Thanks for the publicity Steve. Will hopefully get a local skipper to take one of these Cursor engines shortly and prove themselves.
Any info on these new engines, sizes and hp.
looks like a big hp with a small litreage by size ov the sump
I think its based on an Iveco block, 13 litre rated 325 - about 380 hp
sump doesnt look big enough for 13 litre
here's the range http://www.powertech...ialEngines.html
Check this brochure out - http://www.ivecomoto...reRange-ENG.pdf
The engine in the shot is a C13 825 - 12.9L

Thanks Steve and Barry for putting the links up. FPT are indeed Iveco engines we just aren't allowed to call them that any more. We did want a commercial engine for the stand a C13-500 http://www.ivecomoto...-P3P04C002E.pdf but they only had aC13-825 available as a display at the time, but it still showed off the build and look of the engine quite well, and created a lot of interest aswell. On the other side of the stand we also had a N67-150 http://www.ivecomoto...-P3P04N002E.pdf also a nice little engine.
Thanks again for answering the original question, and sorry I didnt look back in sooner. I only came on looking for photos of a boat I have due up on the slip next week, and got sidetracked by coming across the stand photos.
Cheers, Colin.
