    north star made some money out of these ships. this one belonged to wood group until they eventually sold it to north star. the first trip i done on it the skipper told me she could only carry 30 tons of fresh water for a 30 day trip and they had to keep 5 ton in reserve. so you could only have a shower every 2 days. he asked me if this was a problem. i  replied only if its compulsary. i ended up staying on her for 2 years .
    Was the Shetland Vega LK a sister to this one? very similar looking ship O0

    Yeah remember being on the Grampian Monarch after I qualified, think it was 30 ton of water she carried for her month, seemed alright at the time, but I don't think I will ever be in the North Sea workin again, well never say never!!
    Sailed on the Monarch for 4 trips and was told similar only shower every 2-3 days! hmmm not happening.
