Ally was this one not Peter Murrays boat before he built the Adelphi KY147.
Was Boy Peter 11 KY255 Sold to J Patton Achill Sound Mayo Ireland  114HP Gardner engine
Jockie Sinclair bought her with Sandy Barnie after they sold the Speedwell to Charles Campbell of Kilkeel (renamed Bonnie Ann)  James Sutherland skippered her after Jockie retired
    www.wkboats.co.uk  has her details
The boat you may be thinking of was the Astra II also on the site

From my understanding this was Boy Peter II built by Anderson, Rigdin & Perkings in 1942 as the Nan Fisher F.108 and in 1949 became the Boy Peter II KY.255 getting sold in 1956 becoming Boy Peter WK.64. The next Murray boat to carry KY.255 was Arktos
Boy Peter that Billy Gibson had was built by Millers ,St Monans about 1965. By the looks of comments above she was the second built for Peter Murray of Fife as previous owner of Billys boat was Peter Murray.
I sailed on (Millers) Boy Peter when I was about 12 ! Crew at tat time:> Johnny Main (about 70 at the time!- an forever clouting me cause I couldnt unnerstaun a word he said!! - the only wan that could was billy himself !! Jackie (Greive? or Gibson?)- he left soon after for the wee spes bona, and Dougie the mate. I think a gardner engine of fairly low power was fitted as she'd been seining on east coast. mastra seine /trawl winch (mounted fore and aft )with a beccles coiler behind mounted above rope bins! Power Block with one straight arm and two rams only -one for up and down and one for swinging horizontally! State o the art!!

Boy Peter IV was built for the Murray's by Millers St Monance and launched in 1967/68 as KY 381 and sold in 1976 retaining the same name but registered as BA 210 later becoming Astra SY 153 sadly scrapped at MacDuff 1997
