torn net

One of Jammy's nets on the South pier at Oban this morning for a "little bit of mending"....Nothing that a couple of needles of twine wouldnae put right !!

    dodi was up too day to deliever the sare net which was 2/3rds finished coo, and also to take us and the torn net home it is in the garage for my homework for next few days and sorry ian no aither doesnt do all my mending he does make then new gear up and we finish it off

    and no rikki you would no have laced that up cover section wide mash and wings all separate from the bttom wings and sheet some how i dont think a lacing would have held for 3 mins never mind 3 weeks

    aye ally the headline is broke along wi the gavel's and the rest o it the floats came up a for the doors got tht one up and tied off on her quarter hauled the other up then managed to rive that  one out the healdine came aboard on the dog rope after the cod end was aboard tho

    some might say being a good mender means youre not a very good skipper !! I've been told after 3 bags on the dog rope in a row " You tore it you mend it !!!! "

    Do you no think you would be better using hoppers if you want to try an knock them off the perch 008 instead o 6inch discs.

    Take a good look at this picture cooo,this shit happens to men that are trying to catch a bit of quality prawn with no readings towing in about the ground.I know u said u had no readings yourself but thats how u were catching shite ,u seem to spend more time in the morning trying to buckle the sandles on to the hoofs,so get the grassrope on to go with your clean net readings and stop arseing about.Theres nothing worse than a shitehowker towing about with a wingless hopper net on for show. :whistle: :whistle: :whistle:

    haha u crack me up scratcher tell me when u last tore a net did u tear 1 in the minch or were the readings u stole off yts old boat that good no more nails part 2

    plenty have done it afore me and am sure some will do it after this one maybe even myself again but hope its no for a wee while

    still dont think your lacing up would have held coo, hafl a top sheet in other half ment but the wide mash is just no recoverable

    but there again coo your just so good we cant compare
