LILY OF THE VALLEY BH30, MOORED IN SUNDERLAND, WITH ENDURANCE ex WY89 IN SHOT.
STRANGE NAME FOR A COBLE STEVE, WHICHEVER WAY ITS PUT, DECENT BOAT THOUGH.
Hi Paul
Well sounds better than its Latin name of Convallaria majalis - commonly known as the Lily of the Valley or Lily-of-the-Valley, is the only species in the genus Convallaria in the flowering plant family Ruscaceae, formerly placed in the lily family Liliaceae or in its own family called Convallariaceae. This woodland plant is native throughout the cool temperate Northern Hemisphere in Asia and Europe and a limited native population in Eastern USA [2] (Convallaria majalis var. montana). There is, however, some debate as to the native status of the American species. (courtesy of http://en.wikipedia....y_of_the_Valley )
And who said this site wasn't educational
Regards
Steve E.

fished at amble by armstrongs
Preferred her in the green and white colours at Amble.
I AGREE, SHE LOOKED A LOT BETTER THAN NOW.
Odd thing about this Amble built Coble (J & J Harrison) is that she was launched as LILY OF VALLEY and then had "the" added in 1990
Regards
