Carradale 1981

Carradale 1981

Carradale Harbour around 1981 by kind permission of L.P. The Remembrance and Peaceful Waters are the only two that I can distinguish here that are still at the fishing, although probably the Monarch and Numora are in the thick of things.

Looks like a dark blue painted Shemaron.....hope Chris sees this as this could be her new colour scheme.
Left to Right Sapphire, Mairi Bhan, Shemaron, Remembrance, Silver Lining and Shepherd Lass in front row.

Peaceful Waters, Boy David, Crystal Sea and Numora in middle tier

Altair, Silver Bell, :)? possibly Ailsea, Erica and Acorn in the back row.

2nd tier Numora, Crystal Sea, Ailsea, is outside boat PW?
3rd tier, Acorn, Erica, Monarch, Silver Bell and Altair.
Howzat Dunard, who is the bird with the big titties going for bus is a more relevant question :)

You were quick there Dunard, beat me by a minute, but still need to think again, BD never had varnished topstroke,
Yes, I'll go along with the Ailsea in the centre tier, but not sure of the Monarch at the back. I think it might be the Cluaran II. It's hard to distinguish, but there is another boat lying across the face at the end of the quay and I think that is the Monarch.

I was going to suggest Shona Hedrick, but I can never remember her with a handbag.

    what ever happened to macoomba?
did nobody twig donna's wee van on the pier???
Nothing wrong with your eyes Bates!

Lawrence 'Macoomba' McBride was involved with training people to sail and lives up around Glasgow or East Kilbride. Hasn't changed much at all.
The Remembrance has never changed colour in all this time.  :police:  And you can't mistake the Shemaron's wheelhouse... now, youse say the Acorn is at the back there, is that her with the whaleback? I can't remember her but have heard the name manys a time. McMillans had her right?
the rememberacne is now a dark blue
