haven't read this one, haven't seen it but his book "the ring net fishermen" is a great book, read it several times over the years, it was published 25yrs ago or more i think, i'm thinking there might even be a chance that this is the same book re-named and re-published? why he'd write two books about the same subject and the same people i don't know? i'd have continued and written about the methods and fisheries that replaced the ring net, but then i'm not the author, i'm sure a book by angus about the period from 60's to the present day and the seine net and advent of prawns replacing whitefish in the clyde would make for good reading, a damn sight betterthan any book by another certain author, thats a certainty!!!!!
i'll ask him tomorrow if i remember, he is my postman, tho he is what we would call moogerin and not one for smalltalk, or maybe he just doesn't like me? i never get much more than a grunt out of him,and he's been my postie for the twenty years we've lived in this house, anything else is like drawing teeth. great writer tho, really draws you into the detail of the narritive when i'm not really one for  some of that stuff, attention span of a oh look, a shiny thing!!!! ha ha thats shiny shiny!!
read a book angus wrote wrote about clyde ringer at the north fishing
