    Great old photo  boats landing at the market are the Craig INS 85 skipper Willie Ralph standing forrat and the
    Britannia INS 68 skipper Jim Stewart at the winch The photo would have been taken mid to late 1950s as the Britannia was not built untill 1952 and was painted grey for a few years

    Great aul photo right enough, looking a bittie tight do you think its a Friday, the way the other boats are lying. Are you sure the Brittania was grey in colour I always thought she was white.

    you are right Jimmy it was white she was not Grey  I hiv posted a photo of her fin she was that colour
    That wid be the last of the boats landin on a friday then tying up for the weekend
    Other twa boats that I can recognise is the Corn Rig  and the Lodestar INS 138
    did the lodestar belong 2 Henry Murray snr ?

    Yes thats right Syd  She was built by Slater at Lossie 1946 for Hendry Murray  then his son also named Hendry went skipper when his father retired  He also had a son who was known as young Hendry Murray and was also aboard the Loadstar She was later sold to Willie Hay from Portsoy and Hendry and Young Hendry moved down to Rothesay

    Cyril is this the same Britannia that was in gardenstown BF178 one time bum boat to the purser Bdellium.
