I suppose the box of rocks is the stern mooring. Nice Touch.

Jeez, and I used to put coal in as a young'un, for a tanner (NOT Tenner) a 30 cwt load.Those were the days free coal for the miners, always got half a bag to take home as well. we didn't have much money but knew how to earn it. Knitting pot covers , collecting rose boughs up at Penshaw and Coxgreen, and knocking bottoms up for pots, and putting coal in.

One's on the Tyne and Blyth seem to be going to Sleekburn with a few to Dunston.
